No terceiro dia da Vikings Baseball Summer League começou a competição para o escalão Major League (maiores de 18 anos). O que desde logo se notou foi a elevada internacionalização do torneio, com participantes naturais da Venezuela, Cuba, Ucrânia, Estados Unidos da América, França e Portugal. À semelhança do torneio Minor League, foi pré-estabelecido um ranking com o qual se construíram as 3 equipas participantes: Red Sox, White Sox e Yankees.

O primeiro jogo, na parte da manhã, opôs os Red Sox aos Yankees. No final, acabou por fazer a diferença o elevado número de passed balls que os Red Sox concederam, culminando na vitória dos Yankees por 15-4. O segundo jogo, decisivo para as aspirações dos Red Sox, opô-los aos White Sox. Mais uma vez, a bateria dos Red Sox não esteve feliz, e a maior frescura dos White Sox acabou por ditar mais uma derrota para a equipa de vermelho, decidindo desde logo as equipas da final. O último jogo não mais foi do que uma antevisão da final do dia seguinte, conseguindo os Yankees a vitória por 12-10, num jogo, contudo, bastante equilibrado.

A chuva que começou a cair ao final da tarde não abria grandes perspectivas para o churrasco e jogo de softball da noite, mas acabou apenas por ser uma ligeira ameaça, ficando o tempo de acordo com o bem disposto jogo de softball que encerrou o terceiro dia da Vikings Baseball Summer League.

The Major League competition started on the third day of the Vikings Baseball Summer League. One could note right away the great international presence in the tournament, with native players from Venezuela, Cuba, Ukraine, United States of America, France and Portugal present. The system used in the games was similar to the one adapted in the Minor League, with the players being pre-ranked and distributed among the three teams (Red Sox, White Sox and Yankees) in order to make them as balanced as possible.

The first game, in the morning, opposed the Red Sox and the Yankees. In the end, the high number of passed balls conceded by the Red Sox was a major factor in the result, culminating in the Yankees win by 15-4. The second game was decisive for the Red Sox aspirations, and opposed them to the White Sox. However, the Red Sox battery was once again unhappy, and the White Sox freshness put them above the red team, who ended up defeated in both games. That match automatically decided the teams who made it to the final, so the last game of the day was simply a preview of next day. The Yankees managed to collect another win, by 12-10, in a very balanced game.

At the end of the afternoon, rain started to pour the field, menacing the barbecue and the softball game scheduled for the night. Despite that, the weather got better, and the softball game that ended the third day of competition was highly animated, for the praise of the participants.
