O quarto e último dia da Vikings Baseball Summer League apenas assistiu a actividades da parte da tarde. A ameaça de chuva acabou por não se concretizar e o tempo ameno até veio favorecer a competição.
A tarde começou com o muito esperado Home Run Derby. Após uma ronda preliminar, apuraram-se os 4 jogadores com mais home-runs conseguidos nas 10 tentativas que possuíam. A final foi renhida, com um empate a 3 entre Luís Vázquez, Sérgio de Luiggi e Gustavo Almeida, com 2 home runs cada um. Na decisão final, Luís Vázquez lidou melhor com a pressão, sucedendo a Ricardo Valente como vencedor do Home Run Derby da Vikings Baseball Summer League.
A final do escalão Major League da Vikings Baseball Summer League, quiçá pelo prévio aquecimento dos tacos no Home Run Derby, foi um excelente jogo de Baseball, que terminou na vitória da equipa dos Yankees por 6-4, confirmando o equilíbrio evidenciado no jogo de sábado. Mike Moon, da equipa dos Yankees, arrebatou o prémio de MVP (Most Valuable Player) do escalão, com uma respeitável prestação ofensiva e três innings em relief dominadores.
Hugo Almeida, responsável pela organização da VBSL, mostrava-se muito satisfeito no final do evento, mas ciente que este poderá ser melhorado no futuro. O sucesso da VBSL ficou provado pelas muitas palavras de parabéns que recebeu dos participantes, o que o irá motivar a fazer mais e melhor nas próximas edições. Hugo aproveitou ainda para agradecer ao seu staff – Ariana Gomes, Gustavo Almeida, Hugo Silva, João Azevedo, Mónica Cunha, Paulo Fonseca e Pedro Gonçalves – e a todos os colaboradores dos Vikings e da Câmara Municipal de Vila do Conde que com o seu precioso trabalho contribuíram para a organização da Vikings Baseball Summer League.

The fourth and final day of the Vikings Baseball Summer League 2007 only witnessed activities in the afternoon. The mild weather was perfect for the practice of baseball, despite the threat of rain.
The afternoon began with the highly awaited Home Run Derby. After a preliminary round, the top 4 players with the highest Home Run count in 10 possible attempts advanced to the final round. This last round was highly competitive, with three players tying up for the first place with 2 home runs each. In the decision, Luís Vázquez was able to better deal with the pressure, following Ricardo Valente as the second winner of the Vikings Baseball Summer League Home Run Derby.
The Major League final, perhaps because of the previous bat warm-up in the Home Run Derby, was an excellent baseball game, which ended in a Yankees 6-5 win versus the White Sox, confirming the evident balance between both teams. The Major League MVP (Most Valuable Player) was the Yankees’ Mike Moon, due to a respectable offensive performance, as well as three strong innings in relief.
Hugo Almeida, responsible for the VBSL organization, was quite satisfied at the end of the event, but also aware that the league can improve in the future. The VBSL success was proven by the high number of congratulations from the participants, which only motivates him to do more and better in the future. Hugo also thanked his staff - Ariana Gomes, Gustavo Almeida, Hugo Silva, João Azevedo, Mónica Cunha, Paulo Fonseca and Pedro Gonçalves – and all the Vikings and Vila do Conde City Hall collaborators, whom, with their precious work, contributed for the Vikings Baseball Summer League success.
