Tentativa de Participação na Taça de Portugal 2007/Portuguese Baseball Cup 2007 Participation Attempt

Os Vikings fizeram-se deslocar, no passado dia 29 de Junho, a Abrantes, sede da Federação Portuguesa de Basebol e Softbol, por forma a tentar a sua inscrição na Taça de Portugal de Basebol de 2007.
Uma resposta prévia da Federação, por e-mail, indicou a necessidade de filiação para a participação na competição, e foi também com o intuito de acelerar este processo que a deslocação teve efeito. Contudo, a ausência da Presidente da Federação, bem como da sua secretária, impossibilitaram o contacto directo que era pretendido.
De uma aproximação a outro membro da Federação presente pôde-se saber que os Vikings tinham ainda algumas questões pendentes com a actual Direcção que teriam de ser resolvidas antes da filiação. Foram cedidos os contactos da pessoa responsável pelo departamento jurídico, e efectuado o necessário diálogo com a entidade por forma a saber como regularizar a situação.
Uma resposta telefónica por parte da Presidente da Federação foi entrentao obtida, estando os Vikings, neste momento, a dar o tudo por tudo para conseguir a sua entrada na Taça de Portugal de Basebol de 2007.

Past Friday, the Vikings went to Abrantes, headquarters of the Portuguese Baseball and Softball Federation, in order to apply for participation on the Portuguese Baseball Cup 2007. A previous e-mail answer from the Federation has indicated the need for filiation, so that the Vikings could participate on the competitions organized by the entity. The trip also had the goal of speeding up this process. However, the absence of the President, as well as the Secretary, made the pretended direct contact impossible.
From an approach to another member of the Federation, we were able to know that the Vikings still had some unsolved issues with the current management, who had to be solved prior to the filiation. We were given contacts of the person to contact regarding this issues, and the necessary dialog in order to know how to regularize the situation was made.
Meanwhile, the Vikings were able to get a phone answer from the Federation President, and are currently doing everything at hand so that the team can make it to the Portuguese Baseball Cup 2007.
