The second preseason game for the Vikings turned out to be the second loss of the team and its first loss at home this year, finishing a four game winning streak at home that was still rolling from last season.
The ball game had a decisive period where the Vikings stumbled...again.
In the beggining of the 7th inning, the game was tied at four runs apiece.
Vikings pitcher Jorge Castañeda, who had just struke out the side on the sixth inning, went on a wild roallercoster ride on the 7th, hitting three Caimanes batters. The inning would finish with three runs scored for the Caimanes, after a costly fielding error by second baseman João Azevedo and a single to rightfield by Jorge Lamelas, Caimanes rightfielder.
The Vikings tried to storm back on the last inning, but no major damage was done to the Orense (Spain) team.
On the 9th inning, André Silva grounded out, Alfredo Carvalho gave hope and delighted the crowd and the Vikings team hitting a rare inside of the park home run, but João Azevedo, having an uncommon terrible day, struke out looking and João Castro flyed out to first.
Jorge Castañeda, Alfredo Carvalho and Hermínio Neto where the most productive batters for the Vikings, with two hits each.
Castañeda, the pitcher, finished with 10 strikeouts, but his five hit by pitches ruined a great performance.
The Vikings also had five fielding errors.
Caimanes won the game despite having had only four hits in the game against nine from the Vikings.
The final score: Vikings 5, Caimanes 7

O segundo jogo de pré-época para os Vikings acabou por ser a segunda derrota da equipa e a primeira derrota em casa este ano, terminando assim uma série de quatro vitórias consecutivas em casa, que já vinha durando desde a época passada.
O jogo teve um período decisivo onde os Vikings abanaram...novamente.
No início da 7ª inning, o jogo encontrava-se empatado a quatro runs.
O pitcher dos Vikings Jorge Castañeda, que tinha acabado de eliminar por strikeout o lado dos Caimanes na 6ª inning, entrou na 7ª com problemas de controlo nos seus lançamentos, tendo feito três hit by pitches sobre batedores adversários. A inning iria terminar com três runs marcados para os Caimanes, após um erro de fielding do segunda base João Azevedo que acabou por sair caro, e um single para o rightfield por Jorge Lamelas, o rightfield dos Caimanes.
Os Vikings tentaram ripostar na última inning, mas nenhum dano de monta foi feito à equipa de Ourense.
Na9ª inning, André Silva foi eliminado numa ground ball, Alfredo Carvalho deu esperança e deliciou o público e a equipa dos Vikings com um raro inside the park home run, mas João Azevedo, num dia terrível nada comum, foi eliminado por strikeout e João Castro teve igual destino com um flyout para a primeira base.
Jorge Castañeda, Alfredo Carvalho e Hermínio Neto foram os batedores mais produtivos dos Vikings, com dois hits cada.
Castañeda, o pitcher, terminou com 10 strikeouts, mas os seus cinco hit by piches arruinaram uma excelente performance.
Os Vikings fizeram também cinco erros de fielding.
A equipa dos Caimanes venceu o jogo tendo feito apenas quatro hits, contra nove dos Vikings.
